One developer, the whole application
I take web and mobile applications from first idea to production, and keep them running well after launch.
The part I enjoy most is the problem itself: working out the right solution, making it fast, and making sure it still holds up as the product grows.
I’ve worked remotely since 2013, for teams in Melbourne, London and Miami, so I’m used to owning my work and moving it forward without needing to be managed.
I am self-taught, but I love working with people who know and can teach me. I think my two best qualities are that I like to teach what I know and I still have a lot to learn.
End to end
Front end, back end, the server it runs on and the deployment that gets it there. Most of what a web application needs, handled by one person who sees the whole path.
After launch
Shipping is the middle, not the end. Performance tuning, server upkeep and the slow query nobody noticed in staging are part of the job.
Fewer moving parts
Before adding a server, a plugin or a dependency, ask what it costs to keep running. This site is static for exactly that reason.
